Napa Valley guitarist Leigh Wyckoff and San Luis Obispo guitarist Randy Rigby will be performing together at the Napa Valley Opera House on June 28, 2008 for Big Brothers Big Sisters Napa Valley Comedy Night. This year’s theme is “Moroccan Madness” and will feature great wines, food, music and belly dancers and other treats.

Leigh has recently signed with Randy’s new record label Harvest Road Music. The new label’s ongoing project is a series of CD’s called “Sounds of the Wine Country.” The first two albums are finished and scheduled for simultaneous release in June of this year. The music has been designed and created as the perfect match for fabulous wines and cuisine. “Sounds of the Wine Country/ UNCORKED” is a delightfully soothing and melodic mix of Latin jazz and rock featuring Randy and his band Blue Latitude. “Sounds of the Wine Country/ EMERALD MOUNTAIN” features Leigh in an uplifting and spiritual journey of world beat rhythms, jazzy guitar melodies, and world-class guest artists. Kari Ruel of Napa Valley Life’s magazine calls EMERALD MOUNTAIN “a true gem” (April/ May 2008 issue).

Leigh and Randy are happy to be co-sponsoring such a worthwhile event as the Big Brothers Big Sisters Napa Valley Comedy Night. They will be performing music from the new CD collection for the reception in the Opera House lobby from 6:30- 8:00 PM. Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of great wine, food, music, and comedy.

On Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 1:00-6:00pm Ghirardelli Square will host the third annual Uncorked! Wine Festival. In partnership with COPIA, the American Center for Wine, Food & Arts located in Napa.

Uncorked is a public event which provides an opportunity to taste, learn and experience wine and gourmet food from throughout Northern California.

Area chefs, seminars conducted by COPIA such as "Wine 101" and "Chocolate & Wine Pairings". This year’s theme is “Eat Your Heart Out”, and will give Leigh the opportunity to ham it up as he sings Jimmy Buffet’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise” with four lovely ladies dressed as various condiments…what???

Sounds of the Wine Country CD Release Party

A new partnership has recently developed on the local wine and music scene, pairing new record label Harvest Road Music, based in San Luis Obispo, with Leigh Wyckoff’s Napa Valley based Wine Country Music.

Harvest Road Music was founded by music veteran and fellow guitarist Randy Rigby. “After years of hearing wine industry people talk about the need for music that pairs perfectly with the wine tasting experience, Harvest Road Music has responded with the release of Uncorked- The Sounds of the Wine Country Volume 1.”

Randy will be bringing his Harvest Road entourage to Napa Valley to promote the first two albums of the series and will perform with his band “Blue Latitude” April 26, 2008, at the Cycle For Sight event at Justin Sienna High School from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. San Luis Obispo singer/ songwriter Nataly Lola will add her golden voice to the mix, and Napa Valley’s Leigh Wyckoff will be a featured guest artist with the band and will perform some of his songs from the “Sounds of the Wine Country” series.

Admission to the event is free. Representatives of some of Napa Valley’s best wineries, microbreweries and restaurants will be presenting samples of their finest wines, beers and cuisine. All proceeds go to the “Enchanted Hills for the Blind” and the California Veterans Home “Pathway Home Project”.
